Privacy notice
This covers applying to the Tapzor seller pilot: what you give us, what we do with it, and how to get it back or get rid of it.
Who we are
Tapzor is a product of Thinking Ink Studio, a micro enterprise registered under Udyam Registration Number UDYAM-UP-28-0100473, at G11, SF, Eldeco Green Meadows, Sector Pi, Greater Noida, Uttar Pradesh, India.
Under the Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023, Thinking Ink Studio is the Data Fiduciary for what you give us here — it decides why your answers are held and what happens to them, and it answers for that.
Questions about your data go to privacy@tapzor.com. Complaints go to grievance@tapzor.com. Either way a person reads it and replies within 7 days.
This is the whole notice. There is no longer version behind it.
What we hold, and why
When you apply, you give us seven answers. Each one is used for one thing.
| What you give us | What we use it for |
|---|---|
| Your brand or store name | So we know whose application this is |
| Your Instagram handle or store link | So we can look at what you sell before deciding |
| Your email address | To send your verification code, your pass, and our decision. It is the only way we contact you |
| Where your buyers message you | To judge whether the pilot fits how you sell |
| What you sell | To open the pilot one category at a time |
| How many orders you get a month | To judge whether the pilot fits your volume |
| What costs you the most sales | So we build against a real problem rather than a guessed one |
We also record when you applied, when you confirmed, the version of this notice you agreed to (pilot-notice-2026-10.2) and the moment you agreed — so we can show you agreed, and to what. Your pass number and its serial are stored so your pass can be checked.
We do not ask for a phone number, payment details, a password or a one-time password. There are no advertising pixels on the application page. The only third-party script on it is the live chat, described below.
To stop one person flooding another person's inbox through our form, we store a scrambled (hashed) form of your IP address and your email address for up to 24 hours. Scrambling is one-way: it cannot be turned back into the original. It is used only to count how often a form has been sent.
What we never do
We do not sell your data. We do not share it with advertisers or data brokers. We do not add your address to a marketing list because you applied. We do not use your answers to train an AI model.
We do not read your buyers’ messages. If you are accepted into the pilot, nothing touches your conversations until we have agreed with you, in writing, what will run.
There is a separate, optional box asking whether we may email you when we publish something worth reading. You can apply without ticking it. Untick it by replying to any email from us.
How long we keep it
- If you never confirm your email, everything you typed is deleted automatically after 7 days. This runs nightly, without anyone deciding.
- If you confirm, we keep your answers until 24 months after the pilot closes, or until you ask us to delete them — whichever comes first.
- The scrambled anti-abuse records are deleted after 24 hours.
Your answers are stored on Supabase in Mumbai, India (AWS ap-south-1) — they do not leave India. The one exception is email: our provider, Resend, processes your address on servers outside India in order to deliver the message. We will not transfer your data to any country the Government of India restricts under section 16 of the Act. If where we store it changes, we will tell you before it does.
Live chat
The chat on our homepage is run by tawk.to, and it loads with the page. When it loads, tawk.to sets cookies in your browser and shows us which page of our site you are on and roughly where you are, so we can answer you quickly. If you send a message, tawk.to stores it. tawk.to processes this on servers outside India. You can block cookies in your browser, and the rest of the site still works.
Chat is separate from your application. Nothing you type in chat is added to your application unless you ask us to, and you can apply without ever using it. To have a chat deleted, write to us at the address below.
Your rights
Under the Act you can ask us to:
- Show you everything we hold about you, and who we have shared it with. We email it to the address you applied with.
- Correct or complete it, if your handle changed or you picked the wrong answer.
- Erase it. Your application is deleted and your pass number is retired, never reissued.
- Accept a nomination, so someone you name can act for you if you die or cannot act yourself.
Write to privacy@tapzor.com from the address you applied with. We act only on requests from that address — otherwise anyone could read or delete your application by asking.
If we have not answered you well, write to grievance@tapzor.com. We reply within 7 days. If you are still not satisfied, you can complain to the Data Protection Board of India. We will not hold it against you, and your pass stays valid.
Withdrawing your consent
You agreed by ticking one box, so withdrawing takes one tap. Enter the address you applied with in the withdraw box on our homepage and we email you a link; opening it deletes your application and retires your pass number immediately. You do not have to give a reason.
We send a link rather than deleting on the spot for your protection: a button that deleted whatever address was typed into it would let anyone delete your application. Only your inbox can act. Every address gets the same reply on the website, so the form cannot be used to check who applied. The link lasts 24 hours and works once. If you would rather write to us, privacy@tapzor.com works too.
Withdrawing does not undo anything we did lawfully while your consent stood, and it does not remove records the law requires us to keep.
Who can apply
You must be 18 or over. We do not knowingly process the data of anyone under 18, and we do not run behavioural advertising on anyone. The live chat described above is the one third-party service that sees your visit.
Languages
This notice is published in English. Write to privacy@tapzor.com and we will send it to you in any language in the Eighth Schedule to the Constitution of India.
Changes
If we change this notice we change its version, say so here, and ask you to agree again before your answers are used in any new way. The version you agreed to is recorded against your application, so you can always see which words you accepted. This version is pilot-notice-2026-10.2.
28 September 2026: added the section on live chat. Later the same day the chat was changed to load with the page instead of only when asked, and the section was updated to say so. Nothing about how your application is used changed, so nobody is asked to agree again.
